Year 2 visited High Leys Farm to support their learning of Animals in Science. We had a great time pond dipping, seeing many different creatures. We used our Science skills of identifying and classifying. We went in a field with sheep and discussed what food they ate and how many sheep were on the farm – over 1400! We saw a two-day old calf and discussed how it is the ‘offspring’ of the cow. We saw goats and got to feed them fodder beat. They were very playful and enjoyed eating! All children were very well behaved and were very respectful of their surroundings and the animals on the farm. Well done year 2!
